Who we are
Javed Mawji established GreenTech in 2009. He has been deeply involved in all major aspects of plastic recycling since 2007. He started out in the industry trading PET and PE/PP flake for a major recycling company in Prague, Czech Republic, before teaming up with the largest German recycling company to establish a million bottle a day PET/HDPE/PP post consumer recycling facility in Rainham, Essex. Javed has appeared on Sky News, BBC and other media outlets discussing the challenges the industry faces.

GreenTech's principle has had responsibility for developing PET and PE/PP recycling facilities, from initial business plans and securing funding from public and private sectors through to contract negotiations with machinery suppliers and feedstock suppliers, establishing relationships with international blue-chip purchasers of materials and building solid, effective and dedicated teams. With an outstanding network of specialised industry professionals, we can help with all aspects of establishing and optimising post-consumer plastic recycling operations. Our expertise extends into designing systems and financial modelling based on hands-on experience, not off the shelf models.
